DIY: Zara TRF Tulip-Skirt Dress

Do It Yourself

You know that feeling when you see a cloth while surfing the net and want it infinitely much, but can't afford it?? Well, I've got it every time plus the desire to change a little bit here and a little bit there so that it would look perfect on me. And when I saw Zara TRF Tulip-Skirt Dress, I knew I had to make it and I was sure it would fit me perfectly.
So, I bought some fabric. I needed it to be thin enough to confort me in a summer evening and firm enough to mantain the shape of the dress. I've choosed some gabardine of light creamy shade.
I made some changes to the original dress, because I find it kind of sporty and I needed it elegant for I intended to wear it at my friend's wedding. I've changed the shape of the neck and lowered the back neckline.
I have, also, kept the pockets, cause I adore them. All my clothes should have pockets so I can find a place for my hands :)
It so happened, that the fabric wasn't too firm so I had to use some vlieseline (or fusible fabric).-

I must say that this dress was my pride and glory at the wedding ♥
This is my first fully finished garment, that I'm totally satisfied with.

Hopefully it's not the last :D
