New in basics: Tote bag

Say hello to my new acquisition. It is a basic everyday tote bag and it comes to replace my previous one which was close to disintegration and wasn't quite fit to go out in public with anymore. (With this occasion I should probably say some nice words about the old bag, however things are not that sad :D and it won't go to trash yet: it will be probably re-purposed for grocery shopping. I being a hoarder get too attached to the things I own and couldn't throw it away just yet :"> )

About the new bag though. I have been searching for a replacement to my old bag for quite a while and couldn't find the specific one I had in my head. Apart from it's design I needed a rather big bag in a versatile colour and not very expensive because, well, it's an everyday bag. I think everyone of us has that comfortable big bag we use whenever we need to run errands, go shopping, carry lots of stuff  etc. (I am against any type of additional bags/items carried with myself because too many times they were forgotten and lost somewhere. Because amnesia and day-dreaming :">). I found this one in a local store, it is manufactured here in my country and it ticked almost all my boxes: double handles, so one can carry it in hand or on the shoulder/across the body; it is made out of a leather-like material (yay to cruelty-free products!); the colour and shape makes it a perfect match for a wide range of outfits and styles. I have paid for it half the price of a genuine leather bag (compared to another local brand) and my only concern is how long it will serve me, but we'll see :-B

MET Gala 2015 Favourites: China through the looking glass

I sincerely believe that taste is a very subjective matter thus I don't really rely on all those Best & Worst Dressed lists. Consequently, I will try to avoid expressing my dissaproval to some of the outfits worn at the famous gala. Let just say they were almost naked but not necesarilly :) (not that I am a prude but I do believe in the concepts of "lady" and "polished" and "classy", moreover when one serves as an example and, frankly, has resources for better clothes). Instead I'd better show my absolutely favourite girls who wore the most beautiful outfits.

Usually, when an event happens I like to check as many sources as possible in order to get a broader coverage of stars who attented it, because events are not only about Beyonce or Jennifer Lawrence but also about less popular stars with sometimes better taste (or stylists ;) ) The awards season is generally a little celebration for me because I do love to see all those ladies (and gents) gracing the red carpet in nice outfits. My most favourite internet place to check out photo reports is Vogue UK (shout out to their website with gorgeus big pictures and an easy-to-use interface).

So here is my personal choice for the best dressed ladies at the 2015 MET Gala:

Maggie Q in Tory Burch

Helen Mirren in Dolce & Gabbana

Diane Kruger in Chanel

And what were your favourites? :)
